Medical Office Applications (MA146) 40 Hours

Students practice accounts receivable and payable activities using a computerized management system in a series of simulated daily office activities. They will practice electronic medical record management and application of HIPAA regulations.

Students will know about the medical environment in the office, the language of medicine, medical specialties computers in contemporary medicine, the medical staff, and roles of medical professionals, medical ethics, and social policy issues

Grading:

Student performance will be evaluated relative to knowledge, skills, and professional behavior.  Exams, quizzes, and projects will provide evidence of success in meeting the course objectives.
