About the EKG Technician Role
An EKG Technician is responsible for performing electrocardiogram (EKG) tests on patients. EKGs are used to detect heart irregularities and diagnose various heart conditions. EKG Technicians must be able to explain the procedure to patients, as well as answer any questions they may have. They must also be able to properly position the EKG leads on the patient’s body and ensure that the EKG machine is working properly.
