Clinical Procedures (MA 120) 40 Hours

Clinical Procedures for Medical Assistants will provide clear, step-by-step instructions for common office procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting, and processing lab specimens, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with office surgeries. Including preparing and positioning patients, determining height and weight, documenting patient histories, setting up and using equipment, and assisting with general and specialty examinations. The focus will be on practical skill development and adherence to OSHA and PPE guidelines.

Grading:

Student performance will be evaluated relative to knowledge, skills, and professional behavior.  Exams, quizzes, and projects will provide evidence of success in meeting the course objectives.
